About the Role
Take on an exciting opportunity as a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department where you will provide high-quality care to adults and children in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment. This permanent part-time role (working 36 hours per week) offers the chance to be part of a dedicated team that delivers critical care to patients in their time of need.
As a Registered Nurse, you will collaborate with a skilled multidisciplinary team, including Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and experienced Registered Nurses. With support from Health Care Assistants, Clerical Staff, and the medical team, you will play a key role in providing compassionate, evidence-based care. A comprehensive orientation program and ongoing training opportunities will ensure your success in this rewarding role.
About the Team/Service/ Location
Our ED is a vital part of the community, providing care in a dynamic and supportive environment. Located in the stunning Bay of Plenty, the region is renowned for its golden beaches, bush-clad mountains, and vibrant community, offering an ideal balance of professional growth and lifestyle.
About you
The ideal candidate is a skilled and adaptable professional with a collaborative approach to care delivery. Previous acute care experience is beneficial, but we also welcome those eager to grow their skills in this area.
- Current Annual Practicing Certificate.
- Previous Emergency Department or acute care experience (preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
- Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
