Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide care for mothers and newborns during the labor and delivery process in a compassionate and professional manner.
Duties
- Assist in the birthing process, including monitoring vital signs, coaching mothers, and administering medications
- Perform assessments during labor to ensure the health and safety of both mother and baby
- Provide postpartum care to mothers and newborns
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to create individualized care plans
- Educate patients on infant care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of labor and delivery procedures
- Experience working in a Level I Trauma Center is preferred
- Proficiency in catheter care and critical care transport
- Familiarity with discharge planning and home community care
- Ability to provide infant care education to new parents
- Knowledge of workers compensation law related to labor and delivery nursing
- Understanding of durable medical equipment (DME) used in obstetrics
- Sonography skills are a plus for ultrasound assistance during labor
Job Types: Travel nursing, Contract
Pay: $2,000.00 - $2,388.00 per week
