About the Role
Are you a passionate Registered Nurse with a keen interest in Urology? Do you want to make a difference in the lives of patients while enjoying the close-knit community atmosphere of a rural New Zealand hospital? If so, we want you to join our dedicated healthcare team!
As a Urology Registered Nurse, you will be providing specialised nursing care to patients with urological conditions. You will work closely with our urology team to deliver personalised treatment plans, assist in procedures, and provide vital pre- and post-operative care. Your role will be key in ensuring patients experience exceptional care in a welcoming and supportive environment.
You will be supported by our Urology CNS to provide care and expertise, both in delivering direct patient care and in supporting other staff caring for patients with urology requirements and conditions. Your focus will be on modelling expert clinical skills, promoting best practice, facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration and providing education to patients, whanau and other clinical staff. In this exciting position your will play an active role in the development and achievement of the strategic direction, including achieving health targets, for the Urology Service. You will also be given the opportunity to work with other clinical specialties in OPD.

About you
About you:
You are a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for delivering patient-centred care and a keen interest in urology. You're a team player who thrives in a dynamic outpatient environment and is committed to continuous improvement.
- Must have current NZ Nurse Registration
- Previous urology experience or a desire to work in this specialty
- Minimum of two years' consolidated nursing practice in a New Zealand hospital
- Strong patient-centred approach to care
- Critical thinker with sound clinical judgement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of a busy Outpatient Department
- Committed to teamwork and ongoing service improvement
