About the Role

As a Registered Nurse in the General & Vascular Surgical Department, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred care to individuals undergoing a wide range of surgical procedures. You’ll be part of a skilled multidisciplinary team, supporting patients through their surgical journey — from pre-operative preparation to post-operative recovery. This is a dynamic and fast-paced environment where your clinical expertise, compassion, and teamwork will make a meaningful impact every day.

About the Team/Service/ Location

Our General & Vascular Surgical team is a dedicated group of professionals committed to delivering excellent surgical care to the Hawke’s Bay community. We pride ourselves on our collaborative approach, supportive culture, and focus on continuous improvement.


  • A current New Zealand Registered Nurse Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
  • Experience or interest in surgical nursing (general and/or vascular preferred)
  • A commitment to delivering safe, compassionate, and effective care
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
