Service/ Department: Urology & Gynaecology, Villa 4

Contract: Permanent, 0.5 FTE (40 hours per fortnight), rostered shifts

About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse to join our Urology & Gynaecology team. This role has become available due to service growth and increased demand in specialist care. Working alongside a dedicated team, you will deliver high-quality nursing care and support to patients in both urology and gynaecology. Your compassionate approach and clinical expertise will play a vital role in ensuring positive outcomes for our patients and their whānau.

About the Team/Service/ Location:

Villa 4 at Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital is a supportive, multidisciplinary environment focused on excellence in urology and gynaecology services. Our team works collaboratively to provide holistic care, striving for the best outcomes for each patient in a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere.

About you:

  • You are a skilled Registered Nurse with a passion for delivering excellent patient-centered care and are eager to be part of a dynamic team.
  • Current Annual Practising Certificate with Nursing Council of New Zealand.
  • Recent experience in urology, gynaecology, or surgical nursing.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients and colleagues. Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
  • Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
