Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
0.8 FTE (64 hours per fortnight, permanent)
2.4 FTE (192 hours per fortnight, fixed Position)
We are welcoming applications from Registered Nurses who have a high level of professional and clinical skills. Patient and whanau centered care is at the core of everything we do here on the Children’s Ward, working alongside families to provide expert paediatric care to their children.
We currently have a number of varied Nursing Roles available – both fixed and permanent positions are available. We are open to applicants wanting both parttime and fulltime work.
The ward cares for babies through to teenagers with a range of clinical presentations, from medical to surgical, orthopaedic, oncology and mental health. We have a large churn of patients with admissions and discharges being plentiful, especially in those winter months, therefore applicants must be adaptable, flexible and have a strong focus on team work. Every shift brings variety.

Moū - About you
Applications are invited from Registered Nurses with a passion for child health to fill a position in our busy Paediatric ward.
Ideally candidates will have:
- Have previous experience in Children's Health.
- Ideally engaging in Post Graduate studies.
- A strong focus on patient assessment.
- Adaptability and flexibility
- Be committed to motivated and self-directed learning.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Current Annual Practising Certificate
