What You’ll Do:

  • Assist veterinarians in exams, procedures, and surgeries
  • Perform diagnostics, radiographs, and anesthesia monitoring
  • Provide compassionate patient care and client education
  • Maintain accurate medical records and hospital efficiency

What We’re Looking For:

  • Licensed RVT (or experienced student eligible for certification in Ohio)
  • Passion for animal care and teamwork
  • Strong technical skills & a positive attitude
  • Ability to answer medical questions from client calls and visits
  • Ability to lead a team of assistants effectively and efficiently
  • Well organized, prompt, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently
  • Ability to stand for extensive period of time, restrain large dogs, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to record all pertinent medical, client and case related information in the patient records accurately with appropriate grammar, terminology, and accurate information
  • Ability to give SQ, IM, and IV injections, place catheters, and draw blood.
  • Knowledge of common anesthesia and recovery states and ability to alert veterinarians when symptoms change or when concerns arise with hospitalized patients
  • Ability to properly extubate, monitor temperature and recover patients from anesthesia
  • Employee must be confident around pets and willing to work with all species of pet animals.
