Are you a regulatory lawyer looking for a new challenge? Then we are looking for you to strengthen our Regulatory Affairs team!
Job Description:
What will you do?
- Tracking regulatory developments with the assistance of regulatory change management tooling;
- Assessing the legal impact of financial regulatory laws, with the emphasis on conduct related laws (gedragstoezicht), including financial markets regulation, and supporting colleagues across the bank who assess the operational impact;
- Assisting with the implementation of new regulatory changes;
- Stakeholder management within the regulatory change process;
- Contributing to reporting on regulatory change to senior management; and
- Providing ad-hoc legal regulatory advice to various departments within the bank on conduct related regulation.

- A master’s degree in law (preferably with a specialization in financial regulatory law);
- At least 3 years of working experience in a comparable position in the financial industry, a law firm or within a financial regulatory authority;
- Good verbal and written communication skills (in both Dutch and in English) – please note that a good working level knowledge of Dutch is required for this function;
- Good knowledge of Dutch and EU financial laws & regulations;
- Experience with making impact assessments and ability to translate laws and regulations into practical and understandable advice and/or policies;
- General knowledge of the banking industry and the financial products and services offered by NIBC;
- Analytical mind and an eye for detail, however you remain pragmatic;
- The ability to simplify complex matters;
- Strong interpersonal skills - ability to build up an (internal) network;
- Able to understand and find solutions when faced with conflicting opinions and interests;
- Team player and hands-on mentality with a positive mindset; and
- High personal ethical standards.
