The Bank of Southside Virginia is a full-service financial institution that offers a full range of products and services to businesses and individuals. BSV is seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and motivated individual to join our team as a Relationship Banker. This role will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the bank and managing accounts. Relationship Banker Job Description

Job Summary:

A Relationship Banker is responsible for providing excellent customer service while performing a variety of banking transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and transfers. They open and manage accounts and offer products and services to accommodate customers’ financial needs. They provide financial advice and must be knowledgeable about the bank’s products and services. Must adhere to bank regulations and policies and use sound judgment when making decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and transfers
  • Accurately count and handle cash
  • Balance cash drawer at the end of each day
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Adhere to bank policies and procedures
  • Have a thorough understanding of banking and financial solutions
  • Good interpersonal and excellent communication skills
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and regulations
  • Assist customers with opening and managing accounts.
  • Assist with loan applications
  • Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Provide financial advice and guidance to customers
  • Identify opportunities and offer bank products and services to customers to meet financial needs
  • Client-driven approach to solving problems.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cash handling experiences preferred
  • Previous retail banking experience preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to accurately count and handle cash
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of banking products and services
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including Saturdays
  • Experience working in a banking or financial institution preferred
  • Effective communication and customer service skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
