Mortgage Foreclosure Litigation Paralegal

Florida law firm seeking an experienced litigation paralegal with a strong background in mortgage foreclosure defense.

The Litigation Paralegal for Kyle & Kyle Law will provide advanced paralegal support to two attorneys. While the majority of work will involve foreclosure defense and surplus funds matters, this position will also include handling paralegal duties for probate, business litigation, and miscellaneous civil cases as needed.

This role is remote.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

This candidate will be responsible for working on mortgage foreclosure litigation files from beginning to end, including but not limited to:

• Preparing motions to dismiss, answers and affirmative defenses, discovery requests, and other pleadings
• Filing court documents through the Florida e-portal
• Coordinating and setting hearings
• Communicating with clients and opposing counsel
• Requesting documents from clients
• Uploading cover letters and proposed orders
• Maintaining calendar deadlines and assisting in preparing attorneys for hearings
• Drafting and reviewing all documents accurately and timely throughout the foreclosure process
• Tracking time within MyCase (case management software) for all work completed on behalf of clients
• Providing additional paralegal support for probate, business litigation, and other miscellaneous civil cases, as assigned
• Performing other administrative tasks as required by the lead attorney

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a foreclosure law firm
• Strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail
• Prior experience filing documents on Florida’s e-portal
• Ability to manage tasks and follow up timely
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills to communicate with attorneys, staff, and clients
• Superior organization and time management skills to operate in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and strict standards
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to quickly learn and develop processes
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook and ability to learn other software (Box, Zoom Phone, etc.)
• Ability to maintain the highest ethical, confidential, and professional standards at all times

Position Details

• Full-time: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
• Virtual / Remote

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: $55,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
