Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 plus bonus package
The company hiring for this role is a leading equipment rental company dedicated to providing top-notch service and a wide range of high-quality equipment to our customers. We serve various industries, including construction, industrial, and event planning, ensuring they have the tools needed to succeed.
Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Rental Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, assisting them with their rental needs, and ensuring a smooth rental process. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in-person, over the phone, and via email. Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate equipment solutions. Provide accurate information on equipment features, availability, and pricing.
- Rental Coordination: Process rental orders, agreements, and returns efficiently. Schedule equipment deliveries and pickups in coordination with the logistics team. Ensure all rental documentation is complete and accurate.
- Inventory Management: Monitor equipment inventory levels and availability. Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure equipment is clean and operational. Report any equipment shortages or maintenance needs promptly.
- Sales Support: Promote additional products and services to meet sales targets. Assist in developing customer relationships to encourage repeat business. Participate in promotional activities and events as needed.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate customer records and transaction details. Handle payment processing, invoicing, and basic accounting tasks. Utilize rental management software to track orders and inventory. Must own the P&L.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
- Previous experience in equipment rental, customer service, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency with computer systems and rental management software.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of construction equipment and tools is an asset.
- Valid driver's license may be required.
- Ability to lift and carry items.
- Standing for extended periods and performing physical tasks as required.
