Austin Rent Way is looking for a dependable Rental Counter Sales and Yard Associate, where your energy and enthusiasm will drive exceptional customer experiences! In this role, you’ll be the friendly face at our rental counter and yard, assisting customers with equipment rentals, processing orders, helping customers with product information. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth transactions, proper inventory management, and a welcoming environment that keeps customers coming back. The ability to offer helpful and swift customer service while multitasking is required. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop sales skills, enhance industry and product knowledge while becoming apart of growing local company in a growing industry.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide expert assistance with rental equipment and product inquiries
• Help solve issues for customers when one arises during a rental
• Process sales transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems while handling cash and credit payments with professionalism
• Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits to customers
• Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure the sales floor is clean, stocked, and inviting
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions via phone or in person while practicing proper phone etiquette
• Assist in yard operations by organizing equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and supporting loading/unloading activities
• Support supervising staff with training new team members or guiding less experienced associates when needed

Skills

• Ability to engage with information and training given at high level.
• Ability to use computer effieciently, along with the use of the POS and inventory softwares.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain product features clearly and confidently
• Excellent phone etiquette combined with friendly, professional customer service skills
• Strong ability to multitask while maintaining base responsibilities
• Previous supervising or leadership experience is a plus for guiding team members effectively
• Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs better
• Ability to perform basic math for transactions, inventory counts, and stock management
• Excellent phone etiquette combined with friendly, professional customer service skills

Pay: $17.50 - $22.00 per hour
