Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Rental Service / Parts Manager to lead our parts and rental operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the management of parts inventory, rental equipment, and supply chain processes to ensure seamless service delivery. Your leadership will drive efficiency, optimize procurement strategies, and enhance customer satisfaction through expert management of supplier relationships and inventory control. This position offers a dynamic environment where proactive problem-solving and strong organizational skills are essential to succeed.
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire lifecycle of parts inventory, including procurement, storage, distribution, and disposal, utilizing ERP systems and inventory management software.
- Oversee rental service operations, ensuring timely availability of equipment and parts for customer needs while maintaining optimal stock levels through demand planning and forecasting.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) partners to negotiate pricing, terms, and sourcing strategies that benefit the company.
- Coordinate logistics for shipping & receiving, warehouse management, and equipment repair to streamline supply chain processes.
- Implement effective inventory control measures using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools to track usage, reduce waste, and prevent stock shortages.
- Lead procurement management efforts by sourcing quality parts and equipment at competitive prices while adhering to company policies.
- Supervise warehouse staff, ensuring compliance with safety standards such as forklift operation certifications and proper handling procedures.
- Collaborate with automotive service teams to support automotive diagnostics, auto body repair, HVAC systems, and automotive repair needs.
- Enhance customer service by providing expert advice on parts selection, availability, and technical support related to automotive diagnostics and equipment repair.
Requirements
- Proven experience in supply chain management within the heavy equipment or manufacturing sectors.
- Strong supplier management skills with a track record of successful negotiation and sourcing strategies.
- Mechanical knowledge related to construction diagnostics, equipment repair, HVAC systems, or equipment repair is highly desirable.
- Experience with warehouse management including shipping & receiving operations and inventory control practices.
- Ability to perform data entry accurately while managing large volumes of inventory information.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
