About the Role
As a Research Assistant, you will be part of a dynamic team within Te Pūriri o Te Ora – Auckland’s Regional Cancer and Blood Service, based at Auckland City Hospital. Our service is the leading provider of cancer care in the Auckland region, supporting a diverse population of approximately 1.7 million people.
In this role, you’ll support the delivery of clinical trials by providing administrative support, assisting with trial-specific research tasks, and managing finance tracking. This role offers great variety, challenge, and the opportunity to learn and grow in the clinical research field. It’s an ideal entry point for someone looking to build a career in this area.

About the Team/Service/Location
Our research team is busy, diverse, and dedicated to ensuring novel therapies and clinical trials are available to patients across Auckland and Aotearoa. You'll be working alongside experienced professionals who are passionate about making a difference.

About You
- Recent experience in the health sector or similar environment
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to use initiative
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary team
