Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting scientific research and development projects, focusing on various aspects of agriculture and biological sciences. This position requires a strong background in laboratory techniques, data analysis, and experimental design to contribute effectively to ongoing research initiatives.
Agricultural staff research associate will apply computational modeling and data science to protein engineering. The position will utilize software including Pymol and bioinformatics packages including AlphaFold, ProteinMPNN and other de novo protein engineering tools to study and analyze protein structures including analysis and quality control techniques such as Flow Cytometry and SDS PAGE. The position will use artificial intelligence and data science to track variations in Cry proteins. The position will identify homologous sequences from BPPRC Database, generate AlphaFold models of full-length proteins in non-crystallized form, generate models of proteolytically activated proteins guided by sequence editing, overlay variant structures with PDB structures, model and visualize interfaces, mutation sites, oligomers and receptor bound structures that are otherwise unavailable
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as biology, agriculture, or environmental science; advanced degrees are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $60,549.00 per year
