At Evotec’s site in Göttingen, Germany, the Bioinformatics department is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated

Research Scientist Bioinformatics (all genders)

Full time and permanent

Responsibilities:

Process and analyze omics (primarily, Proteomics and Transcriptomics) data
Lead the development of workflows and apps for automated summarization and interactive exploration of screening omics and structural data in the context of Lead Optimization
Optimize data processing and analysis capabilities by improving existing and developing new workflows
Support interdisciplinary project teams in various research areas with bioinformatics expertise
Collaborate efficiently with other scientists within the company and with external partners

Qualifications:

PhD in Bioinformatics, Mathematics, Statistics, Applied Computer Science, Computational Biology, or a related discipline with several years of relevant professional experience
Deep understanding of Bioinformatics methods and tools within the context of compound screens and omics data analysis
Strong programming skills in at least one programming language
Experience in software implementation of bioinformatics methods and pipelines
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work both in team and independently in a fast-paced work environment
Fluency in written and spoken English
Excellent oral and written communication skills, capability to organize and communicate complex scientific concepts in a clear and concise manner
Understanding of drug discovery process is a significant plus
Experience with R and shiny is a significant plus
Experience in working with Linux systems is of advantage
