The Research Studies Recruitment Team Lead plays a key operational role in supporting participant recruitment for Human research studies and acts as the primary support to the Recruitment Manager. This position is responsible for executing recruitment strategies, coordinating recruitment activities across studies, and supporting marketing and outreach initiatives to meet enrollment targets. This role combines hands-on recruitment executionwith marketing support, making it ideal for a highly organized, creative, and results-driven individual.
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in: Health Science, Life Sciences, Public Health, Marketing, Communications, or Digital Marketing, Psychology, Sociology, or a related social science. College diploma in: Human Research studies, and/or Marketing / Communications. Or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience in human research studies or participant recruitment
Role and Responsibilities
Recruitment Operations & Study Support
- Serve as the primary operational support to the Recruitment Manager across multiple human research studies
- Execute study-specific recruitment plans to support enrollment targets and timelines
- Coordinate participant outreach activities, including pre-screening support, follow-up, and scheduling coordination with site staff
- Track recruitment metrics, enrollment progress, and study pipelines, escalating risks or delays to the Recruitment Manager
- Support feasibility assessments by reviewing recruitment potential and historical enrollment data
- Assists the recruitment manager in addressing recruitment-related questions from recruiters
- Support training of site staff on recruitment tools and workflows
- Helps the recruitment manager in developing SOPs
Marketing & Outreach
- Support the development and execution of participant-facing marketing materials, including: recruitment advertisements, social media content, website landing pages & SEO, flyers, posters, and digital ads
- Assists the recruitment manager with recruitment material for IRB/REB submission.
- Assists the recruitment manager in deploying approved recruitment campaigns
- Monitor marketing performance (leads, conversions, enrollment rates) and provide regular reports to the Recruitment Manager
- Ensure all recruitment and marketing activities comply with ethical standards, privacy regulations, and IRB/REB-approved materials
Experiance:
Required
- 2–4 years of experience in human research study recruitment, participant engagement, or operations
- Hands-on experience supporting participant recruitment activities in a human research or healthcare setting
- Experience assisting with or executing recruitment marketing campaigns
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple studies and priorities simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
- Experience working in a CRO or research site environment
- Familiarity with IRB/REB requirements for recruitment advertising and participant outreach
- Experience working with digital marketing platforms, social media, or recruitment vendors
- Exposure to recruitment metrics, dashboards, or Customer relation management tools
Required Skills
- Highly organized, adaptable, and detail-oriented
- Strong collaboration, customer service, and communication skills
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to interpret recruitment data and identify emerging trends, risks, and bottlenecks
- Ability to proactively forecast recruitment challenges (e.g., low lead conversion, slow enrollment, high screen failure rates) using real-time recruitment metrics and alerting Recruitment manager
- Experience in monitoring recruitment funnels, lead sources, and conversion rates to support informed decision-making
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to recommend and implement corrective actions in collaboration with the Recruitment Manager
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Ethical and participant-focused approach
