Are you passionate about advancing the understanding of salmonid nutrition and contributing to sustainable aquaculture practices? Skretting Aquaculture Innovation (AI) is currently looking for a Researcher in salmonid nutrition with an innovative mindset and sound collaborative skills for a permanent position.

As a Researcher in Skretting AI you'll have the opportunity to delve into the intricacies of fish nutrition, conduct innovative research, and make meaningful contributions to the aquaculture industry. You will be a key player in the development of nutritional solutions for salmonids for our fast growing aquafeed operations world-wide.
What are your key accountabilities?
- Planning, coordination and interpretation of research studies related to nutrition of salmonid species
- Develop and facilitate investigations of nutritional solutions, with emphasis on optimizing feed formulations, enhancing growth performance and improving overall health and welfare
- Provide technical support on fish nutrition and formulation issues to our operating companies
- Management of collaborative projects with internal and external partners (universities, research institutes, national and international funding organizations, suppliers)
- Communication of results and findings to our key stakeholders
- Assist in implementation of innovations
What we ask
- PhD or equivalent in fish nutrition or fish health biology/veterinary science (or MSc with minimum 3 years relevant experience)
- Background in research or commercial farming of fish is an advantage
- Experience with laboratory work, diagnostics and field sampling will be valued
- Competence in experimental design of fish/shrimp trials and proficiency in statistical analysis.
- Network of scientific partners is an advantage
