Researcher (Translational Molecular Pathology)
VHIR offers a vacancy for a Researcher with experience in experimental animal models for the Translational Molecular Pathology Group.

Education and qualifications:
Required:
    PhD in the field of life sciences
    Fluency in Spanish and English (business level)

Desired:
    Animal experimentation certification

Experience and knowledge:
Required:
    Experience in a research laboratory (> 10years)
    Extensive knowledge in the area of small molecule inhibitors and their further development
    Previous experience in a molecular biology research laboratory
    Implementation and standardization of new laboratory techniques
    Experience in managing a research laboratory (>5years)
    Experience in the design of experiments for the research project
    Experience in guidance of personnel (PhD and Master Students) involved in the project

Desired:
    Experience in pharmaceutical chemistry is a plus


Main responsibilities and duties:
    Coordinate and manage the research group Translational Molecular Pathology
    Guide the PhD students in carrying out their research projects
    Apply for funding, write reports and scientific articles

Labour conditions:
    Full-time position: 40/week
    Starting date: December
    Gross annual salary: 32.000,00 – 35.000,00 (Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale)
    Contract: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities
