Description:
The Reservations Coordinator role at Robata offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic hospitality team in Melbourne's CBD. This position provides a stable, full-time role with room for professional growth in a well-established restaurant group. Your day-to-day in the role will involve:
Being the first point of contact for all guest enquiries and bookings
Managing individual and group reservations efficiently across multiple platforms
Supporting event coordination, including liaising with guests and internal teams
Collaborating closely with FOH and management to ensure smooth daily operations
Providing warm, professional customer service at every interaction
Contributing to sales and upselling opportunities where appropriate
Assisting with FOH work on the restaurant floor, as needed
Skills and Experiences:
First and foremost, we're looking for a candidate with strong hospitality (FOH) experience. In this role, you may be required to work on the floor, as well as performing administrative functions, so previous experience in both areas is an asset. Next, we're looking for someone with excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to customer service. The ideal person will have proficiency in reservation systems (e.g., SevenRooms, Now Book It) and POS software (e.g., Bepoz), as well as strong organisational skills for managing bookings and administrative tasks. You should be fluent in English, professionally presented, and comfortable handling guest inquiries via phone and email. Previous exposure to events is highly desirable as well. Above all, we need someone with a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences!
