Campus Life is a Service Division that supports an engaging and inclusive campus experience for students at The University of Auckland. Campus Life operates a range of ‘wellbeing services’, such as Accommodation, Counselling and Health Services, that are aimed at removing personal barriers to academic success. It also operates ‘engagement’ services such as support for student organisations, social and sporting events, volunteering and leadership support that are aimed at helping students to maximise the non-classroom dimensions of the university experience.
Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and capable professional to support the development of a safe, comfortable, and supportive community that fosters academic success and meets the needs of students living on campus.
Kairuruku Wharenoho / Resident Coordinators have two main responsibilities. First, they assist Resident Manager(s) in creating an environment that promotes the emotional, physical, and academic well-being of students in our residences. Second, they provide administrative assistance and front-line customer service to residents, along with other duties as required.
The successful candidate will support undergraduate and postgraduate students at living at Carlaw Park Student Village (self-catered apartments). This is an exciting opportunity to enter the student accommodation field and join a forward-thinking, rewarding environment where you can support students while building your professional skills.
This is a fulltime (37.5 hours per week), permanent position.
Our Resident Coordinators work Tuesday to Saturday, 2:30pm – 10:30pm during the academic year, with the opportunity for flexible hours in the summer months. Our successful candidate will be able to start work immediately.
Remuneration is $58,300 - $72,700 depending on skills and experience.

- Experienced with event planning and execution, including risk assessments and delegation of tasks in a team environment
- Open to learning and willing to take initiative to solve problems
As part of the front line service for Accommodation, you will be friendly, outcome focused, enthusiastic, with empathy for tertiary students. Experience working within similar educational/support environments is preferred.
