Drumlin Residential Care Ireland are a new and exciting provider of therapeutic residential care for children in Ireland.
Join our expanding team as we continue to grow every day! We have a great opportunity for a 'Home Manager' to join our community of care with a starting salary of €60,00.00 dependant on experience, with periodic increases for the right candidate.
Job purpose:
To manage the home in accordance with its Statement of Purpose and to ensure the maintenance of a safe and caring environment in accordance with relevant childcare legislation, national standards and with Drumlin Residential Care Internal Policies and Procedures.
About The Role:
Key Responsibilities:
- To Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the residential centre, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care in line with National standards and regulations for Children’s Residential Centres
- To manage the home so as to meet as far as possible the expressed needs of the individual children, and to promote positive outcomes for them.
- To develop and implement care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding strategies for young people in care
- To ensure a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for both residents and staff
- To manage the home to ensure it meets as far as possible the expressed needs of the individual children, and to promote a caring and supportive environment and ensure positive outcomes for them.
- To participate in the pre-admission and admission procedures to ensure that the placement needs of the child are fully identified and that individual care plans are put in place to meet each of their individual needs.
- To ensure those individual care plans are developed, applied and continuously monitored and amended if necessary, in accordance with agreed standards.
- To provide leadership, supervision, and development to the care team
- To liaise with Tusla, social workers, and other external professionals to ensure the holistic needs of the children and young people are met
- To manage centre resources and budgets effectively, ensuring best value for money while maintaining a high standard of care
- To lead on inspections, audits, and reviews to ensure continuous service improvement
- To promote a culture of reflective practice and team development
- To participate in multi-disciplinary meetings, to improve services and outcomes for children in care
- To provide oversight of staff training, performance management, and operational delivery
- To manage the centre’s involvement in the National performance management framework, ensuring the centre meets all operational targets
- To participate in an on-call rota as required for emergency support and decision-making

Qualifications
- A Level 8 Degree (or higher) in Social Care, Social Work, or a related field
- A recognised management qualification (e.g., Level 9, Diploma, or equivalent in Leadership or Management in Social Care) is highly desirable
- Full membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., CORU) is an advantage

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum Level 8 degree in Social Care/Work
- Full clean driving licence with access to a car
