We are a luxury custom home builder, dealing with high end clients throughout the GTA.
We are seeking an experienced individual with a proven track record in home construction.
You are a seasoned professional with at least 10 years high paced, high responsibility residential construction site supervision experience, with a very good understanding of Canadian House Construction.
This not an internship position. You have experience with everything from the building envelope to interior finishes.
You are computer literate, know how to read and understand construction drawings, spreadsheets and budgets.
You are a great communicator both orally and written. You are resourceful, can work alone and are deadline oriented. Responsibility and accountability come naturally.
You follow directions to the letter and if onsite work is not occurring as planned, you know how to problem solve and immediately report to the Construction Project Manager for next directions.
You will be responsible for all aspects of the onsite custom home building business. This includes but is not limited to production and quality control, reports, communicating with clients, trades, professionals, city officials.
Managing and coordination of trades and suppliers is an important part of this position. Your experience in construction is key in correcting trade workmanship that does not meet company expectations.
This is a fast pace position where many hats are worn and it's always a different day, full of challenges and new goals to be achieved. You have a cool head and are not hot tempered. You cope with stress well and have common sense.
You are a people person. Whilst you will be working alone onsite most of the time, it is a very interactive position where accurate and polite communication with various types of people happens daily. From Engineers to City officials to very talented trades with thick accents. Patience is part of your DNA.
We welcome mature applicants who are seasoned professionals. This is not your first job nor is this an experiment to transition into the home building industry.
