Community Residential Living Board is a dedicated community residential living facility that provides quality care and support to adults with disabilities. Our mission is to foster a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment where residents can achieve their full potential. We are currently seeking compassionate and motivated individuals to join our team as Casual Relief Residential Support workers.

Position Overview: As a Relief Staff member, you will play a crucial role in supporting our full-time team by stepping in during absences, vacations, or peak times. You will assist in the day-to-day care and supervision of residents, providing support with daily living activities, personal care, and recreational activities.

Duties

  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals with disabilities
  • Administer medications following prescribed schedules and safety protocols
  • Prepare nutritious meals
  • Perform cleaning tasks to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
  • Assist with household chores and errands as needed
  • Document care provided and communicate effectively with the team
  • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure client well-being

Requirements

  • Human Service Counsellor Diploma
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a care giving role would be considered an asset.
  • Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, or weekends if required
  • Valid criminal record check and ability to pass any necessary screening processes
  • Basic caregiving skills such as cleaning, meal preparation, and personal hygiene assistance are essential
  • First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Valid Drivers License

Job Types: Fixed term contract, Casual

Pay: From $24.87 per hour

Work Location: In person
