Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Restaurant Equipment Technician to join our field service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of commercial kitchen equipment, including refrigeration units, and HVAC systems. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently in various locations. Experience with appliance repair, schematics, and equipment assembly is highly valued. The technician will also operate box trucks for delivery and service calls, ensuring timely and efficient support for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair commercial restaurant equipment such as refrigeration units, ovens, dishwashers, and HVAC systems.
• Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues.
• Perform routine maintenance to prevent equipment breakdowns and extend lifespan.
• Assemble new equipment according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Conduct on-site repairs at customer locations, providing exceptional customer service throughout the process.
• Operate box trucks safely for delivery of parts or equipment when necessary.
• Document service activities accurately in company systems and communicate effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
• Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards during all service operations.

Experience

• Proven experience in restaurant equipment repair or servicing within a commercial or industrial setting.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in electrical systems related to restaurant equipment.
• Experience reading schematics and technical diagrams essential for troubleshooting.
• Service technician experience preferred, especially in refrigeration or HVAC systems.
• Delivery driver experience is a plus, with a valid driver’s license for operating box trucks safely.
• Customer service background demonstrating professionalism in client interactions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 50 per week
