We are seeking a talented and experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead our team and uphold our commitment to excellence.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Restaurant General Manager to oversee all aspects of our restaurant's operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, a proven track record of leadership, and a dedication to delivering outstanding customer service. Reporting directly to the Executive Director and a Board of Directors, the Restaurant General Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant, maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness, managing staff, and driving revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities
- Hire, train, and manage staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and maximize profitability
- Create and maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere for guests and staff
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Handle customer inquiries, comments, and complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Work closely with the culinary team to develop and update menus, ensuring a diverse and appealing selection of dishes
- Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to foster teamwork and continuous improvement
- Develop and execute marketing initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing ones
- Prepare regular reports for management, detailing key performance metrics and areas for improvement
- Implement point-of-sale (POS) systems, online ordering platforms, and delivery management software to improve efficiency and convenience for both staff and customers.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans to minimize the likelihood and impact of identified risks.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- A passion for hospitality and dedication to providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and restaurant management software, optimum control, Squirrel and asset
- Knowledge of food and beverage trends and industry best practices
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred

Pay: $70,000 - $75,000 + Bounce Structure
