Restaurant Maintenance Handyman

We are looking for someone that has experience in all aspects of maintenance and handyman repairs. We are a Multi concept full service restaurant company with 5 locations in the greater Tampa area, and growing. We are seeking a handyman maintenance tech to handle light plumbing, carpentry, tile work, and any other misc repairs or maintenance that a typical full service restaurant will have.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace faucets, small equipment repair, tile work, painting, fan replacement etc.)
• Complies with all national, state, and local regulatory requirements.
• Small maintenance repairs and grounds keeping
• Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Must be able to respond to maintenance calls in a timely manor and perform repairs within 1-2 days of calls.

Must have your own basic tools and means of transportation

The proper candidate will be energetic and enthusiastic with a willingness to think outside the box.

Candidate should have at least 2 years experience in the field

Must carry and show you have your own liability insurance

Skills

• Proven experience as maintenance technician
• Basic understanding of electrical, hvac and other systems
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
• Basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical knowledge / skills
• Ability to troubleshoot and correct service issues
• Demonstrated ability to communicate well with the general public and experience in establishing and maintaining an effective working relationship with management, vendors, and co-workers
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
• Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
• High school diploma or equivalent;

WORKING CONDITIONS/TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

• Expected to work the necessary time to satisfactorily fulfill job responsibilities
• Must be able to report to work timely and as required by operational/business needs
• Most jobs will need to be performed early morning before 11am when 3 of the 5 restaurants open. (2 of the 5 restaurants open at 4pm )

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 20 per week
