Position Overview:
At Flava Ceen, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional dining experiences with a focus on Jamaican and Caribbean cuisine. We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Restaurant Operations Manager to lead our team and oversee the daily operations of our restaurant.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring high standards of service and food quality.
- Manage kitchen operations, including supervising staff, scheduling, and training.
- Develop and implement operational procedures & best practices for kitchen staff.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee ordering processes to ensure sufficient stock levels of food and supplies.
- Monitor the restaurant’s financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability.
- Develop and manage budgets, implement cost control measures, and analyze financial reports to identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to minimize waste and prevent shortages. Ensure the restaurant adheres to health and safety regulations, including food safety standards and sanitation practices.
- Conduct regular safety training for staff and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Deliver excellent customer service and handle customer inquiries and catering arrangements.
- Monitor staff performance and conduct regular evaluations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum twelve (12) months proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar role within the food industry, specifically with Jamaican and Caribbean cuisine.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills demonstrated through a minimum of (3) three years in a customer service role.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in staff supervision and training within a food service environment.
- At least two (2) years of experience in inventory management and cost control practices.
- Proven experience in menu development or culinary operations for a minimum of two (2) years.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations, particularly in Jamaican and Caribbean cuisine, demonstrated through a minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience in culinary roles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills demonstrated through at least three (3) years of experience in customer-facing roles.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage pressure,demonstrated through a minimum of three (3) years in a high-volume restaurant setting.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities demonstrated through at least twelve (12) months of experience in managing restaurant operations and staff schedules simultaneously.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices, demonstrated through at least two (2) years of experience in a food service or restaurant environment.
Education:
- Post-secondary diploma in Business Supply Chain and Operations Management or related field.
- Certification in Business Administrative Management is an asset.
Skills:
- Exceptional customer service and team-building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
- Ability to adapt to new situations and systems quickly.
