    LOCATION OF POSITION:
    Fairport NY 14450; O'Connor Academy

    TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 10-Month Position, Full-Time

    STARTING DATE: September 2026

    SALARY RANGE: $49,470 - $79,820 per school year
    • Actual Salary Is Dependent Upon Education, Experience and Contract.

    DUTIES:
    1. Maintain and coordinate ongoing communication and collaboration between educational, mental health, administrative and support staff.
    2. Coach and train staff in proactive intervention techniques within the classroom and greater learning environment.
    3. Contribute to program initiatives to further positive trauma informed practices, restorative practices, social, behavioral, and educational supports.
    4. Establish positive rapport with students, staff, and administration.
    5. Coordinate and facilitate restorative conversations and interventions with students, families, and staff.
    6. Assist in the collection of maintaining student support data and all other necessary documentation.
    7. Coordinate and conduct debriefing sessions of incidents with staff and students.
    8. Utilize approved interventions to successfully prepare students to re-enter the classroom setting following a behavioral incident.
    9. Actively participate in school, family, and team meetings.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    1. Master's Degree from an accredited college required; NYS Professional or Permanent Certification or License in Social Work, School Psychology, or Special Education preferred.
    2. A minimum of five years working with students with disabilities preferred.
    3. Training in LSI intervention strategies.
    4. Experience with trauma informed and restorative practices.
    5. Required to complete Therapeutic Crisis Intervention.
    6. Able to maintain a calm demeanor in stressful situations.
    7. Working knowledge of New York State Standards.
    8. Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
    9. Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
