LOOSE LEAF shop and tasting salon is set at the heart of old Cork in a beautiful historical building dating from approximately 1750. We offer a wide selection of the finest quality loose-leaf teas and gourmet coffee beans. Our teas are carefully selected single-origin offerings originating from the finest estates in China, Japan, India, and other tea-growing regions worldwide.

Duties:

• Provide a fast, friendly, and efficient level of customer service.
• Operate a 1 Group manual / semi-automatic coffee machine.
• Set up and maintain the coffee grinder throughout the day.
• Ensure that coffee and milk, and tea are prepared to a consistently high standard.
• Clean the coffee and tea equipment throughout the day, ensuring that hygiene and food safety standards are adhered to.
• Assist customers to improve their knowledge of the tea world, demonstrate your passion for coffee by sharing knowledge and personal recommendations with customers;
• Familiarise yourself with the full tea and coffee product range and upsell the full range.
• Prepare, pack and send out our online orders using our couriers.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar environment, preferably in a tea/coffee shop / café environment.
• Barista skills, with a knowledge and understanding of different types of tea and coffee.
• Passion for tea and ability to inspire customers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong desire to work with tea and coffee.
• Flexible with the ability to work on own initiative as well as work as part of the team.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From €14.15 per hour

Expected hours: 14 per week
