Branch Banking Support

Act as a branch support officer in case of Branch staff requirements. Would be required to do Customer transactions face-to-face for a variety of routine to more complex financial transactions. Be a part of the branch team and support them for daily branch operations related activities like:

1. Able to travel between branches located across the GTA.

2. Consistently execute appropriate behaviors to deliver a Great Customer experience in the branch.

3. Conduct needs-based conversations and offers financial solutions to meet our customers’ needs.

4. Process Teller transactions for Customers including servicing Customer accounts, accepting loan payments, accepting safe deposit box payments, cashing checks, verifying currency, balancing cash drawer, and overnight deposits.

5. Balance Automated Teller machines (ATMs) and Cash Recycle Units (CRUs).

6. Adhere to safe deposit box procedures/operations and guidelines.

7. Service both lobby and phone banking customers

8. Responsible and accountable for cash drawers and vaults including maintaining appropriate cash limits and securing cash at all times.

9. Accountable for ensuring confidential customer information is securely stored throughout the day.

10. Understand the importance of and follow Dual Control.

11. Ensures compliance with all regulations, policies and procedures.

12. Makes quality referrals to appropriate team members.

13. Participates in branch customer outreach, servicing and advice activities.

14. Responsible for making sound decisions and timely problem resolution.

15. Resolves problems independently, escalating more difficult issues to management.

16. Expected to complete all required in-classroom training and on-line training by established due dates.

17. Follows all security and audit measures to minimize potential loss.

Retail Team Support

1. Be well versed with banking systems and processes and participate in improving the efficiency of the retail processes.

2. Understand and refine online processes to ensure better customer experience – branches and customers.

3. Liaise with operations team to ensure delivery timelines for the assigned projects.

4. Stay updated with market practices on rates across all bank’s products.

5. Stay updated with all business initiatives.

6. Assist the business team at HO for developing new initiatives.

7. Create presentations and decks for any new initiatives for any campaigns that the business is driving.

8. Act as single point of contact for organizing and coordinating Branch events along with Retail team at Branch & HO

9. Laison with community partners for coordinating, attending and organizing events along with Retail team at Branch & HO

10. Collect social media insights from the Branches for Retail Banking

Qualifications

· Higher Education (University or College) in business, finance, economics, accountancy or similar

area required.

· 6 months+ related experience preferred.

· Superior Customer Service skills

· Well versed with MS Office

· Data Analytics & PowerPoint skills are required

· Strong organizational skills

· Detail-oriented

· Ability to function in a fast-paced and changing environment.

· Excellent communication skills with ability to be concise, clear and consistent.

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
