Job SummaryThe Retail Glass Estimator/Project Manager is the central point of contact for retail glazing projects from initial inquiry through final installation. You’ll prepare accurate take-offs and bids, coordinate with clients and vendors, manage timelines, and ensure every project meets budget, schedule, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Bidding
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, and site photos to perform material/labor take-offs.
 - Source pricing from glass suppliers, fabricators, and installation crews.
 - Build detailed, competitive bids using Bluebeam and Excel
 - Present estimates to retail clients and negotiate scope/value-engineering options.
 
Project Management
- Create project schedules, assign tasks, and track milestones.
 - Order materials, schedule fabrication, and coordinate delivery/logistics.
 - Manage on-site installation teams and conduct quality/safety walkthroughs.
 - Handle change orders, resolve field issues, and maintain clear client communication.
 
Client & Vendor Relations
- Serve as the primary contact for retail developers, store planners, and general contractors.
 - Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure favorable pricing and lead times.
 
Administrative
- Update CRM systems with project status, costs, and close-out documentation.
 - Track project profitability and report KPIs to leadership.
 
Qualifications Required
- 3+ years of experience in glass/glazing estimating or project management (retail storefront experience strongly preferred).
 - Proficiency reading commercial blueprints and performing take-offs.
 - Working knowledge of tempered glass, storefront systems, hardware, and building codes.
 - Strong math skills and attention to detail for accurate costing.
 - Excellent communication—able to explain technical details to non-technical clients.
 - Valid driver’s license and clean background (site visits required).
 - Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
 
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $46,418.53 - $55,901.88 per year
