Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and identify their needs through engaging conversations and active listening
• Demonstrate product features through interactive demos, including handling merchandise and explaining benefits clearly
• Assist customers with product selection, upselling relevant items to enhance their experience and increase sales
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and processing payments efficiently
• Maintain organized merchandising displays, stock shelves, and ensure the store is clean, inviting, and well-stocked
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring satisfaction
• Support inventory management tasks such as stocking new products, conducting stock counts, and reporting low inventory levels
• Uphold professional phone etiquette when communicating with customers or suppliers over the phone
• Lead by example in supervising team members when needed, fostering a collaborative environment focused on achieving sales goals

Skills

• Proven experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures in a retail or grocery store setting
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain product features clearly and confidently
• Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively
• Demonstrated retail math skills for calculating discounts, totals, and change accurately
• Experience in supervising or mentoring team members to support store operations and sales targets
• Knowledge of merchandising techniques to optimize product placement and presentation
• Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for daily transactions and inventory management
• Excellent phone etiquette for professional customer interactions over the phone or via digital communication
• Familiarity with upselling strategies to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer trust
