Retail Sales Representative For Maple Leaf

Job Brief

Our client is Maple Leaf. Your role is to identify business development opportunities to drive sales within an assigned geographical territory.

The Role: Retail Sales Representative for Maple Leaf - Montreal West Territory - 40 HRS/WEEK

You have top-notch communication, relationship-building and planning & organizational skills. You love being on the road, working independently. You take a consultative, insight-based approach to selling, effectively balancing your customers’ and our clients’ interests to drive mutually beneficial outcomes.

Position Summary:

The candidate's main task will be to sell and execute the priorities given to all promotions from major accounts and the marketing department.

What You’ll Be Doing Every Day:

  • Maximize distribution of Maple Leaf/Shneiders/Prime products in all territory banners.
  • Manage budgets related to territory, ensuring that objectives are met.
  • Develop business relationships based on trust and respect.
  • Creatively and innovatively display Maple Leaf products in the various banners.
  • Report on weekly territory and competition activities on an ad hoc basis.
  • Maximize territory coverage and make necessary recommendations.
  • Plan territory growth with the help of tools made available to the representative.

Your Experience:

  • College or university diploma
  • 2-3 years experience in the food industry (asset)
  • Commitment to continuous improvement
  • Passion for food
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Proven organizational and priority management skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows environment
  • Team spirit
  • Mastery of second language would be an asset

  • The ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
  • Full access to a reliable vehicle
  • High-speed internet with WiFi at home
