Job Description:

Acts as a subject matter expert in company policy, federal and state regulations, HR best practices, internal business documents, and workflows. Resolves assigned cases accurately, answers phone calls, responds to emails, and processes paperwork within established service and operational level agreement timelines. Oversees the return-to-work process through communication of policies and procedures, collection and processing of applicable documentation, and timely outreach to team members on unauthorized leaves of absence. Serves as a liaison between managers, team members, and external vendor partners. Liaises with Employee Relations in support of interactive process requirements under the ADA. Consults with team members to provide information relating to leave of absence, timelines, and pay policies, including third-party sick pay opportunities. Processes assigned in-house specific leave of absence requests. Maintains appropriate working relationships with vendor account managers, corporate and local HR leaders, internal Shared Services cross teams, and HRIS teams. Ensures compliance with HIPAA, maintaining employee privacy, including confidentiality and protection of sensitive information. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local HR and leave-related laws. Assists in creating standard operating procedures for the position. Meets professional obligations through efficient work habits such as honoring work schedules, meeting deadlines, and coordinating resources in an effective and timely manner.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of employee benefits administration, including applicable state and federal regulations surrounding FMLA, ADAAA, USERRA, HIPAA, ERISA, OSHA, IRS and DOL regulations [Required]
  • Ability to research and analyze data and make sound decisions [Required]
  • Skilled in understanding and applying applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures relating to leave of absence administration [Required]
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing [Required]
  • Skilled in providing quality customer service, including the ability to listen and understand information being presented, as well as the ability to deescalate issues and resolve complaints with “win-win” solutions whenever possible [Required]
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work with a diverse group of people to meet goals and objectives [Required]
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines [Required]
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite [Required]
  • Human Capital Management (HCM) experience, specifically PeopleSoft, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools [Preferred]

Education:
  • Bachelor's [Preferred]
  • Bachelor's [Required]

Field of Study:
  • or the equivalent in education and related experience
  • in relevant field

Work Experience:
  • Experience in a large employer setting with multiple leave of absence programs and policies [Preferred]

Pay Range:

$19.76 - $36.75
