The Revenue Cycle Manager is responsible for the revenue cycle performance and financial outcomes of assigned PBS clients, including charges, revenue, and AR. This position manages the Accounts Receivable processes, metrics, and staff efforts. The RCM oversees the Account Resolution staff and their functions, performance, and assigned to each of their clients to ensure the highest levels of success.

Primary Job Duties

Revenue Cycle Performance & Client Success

  • Manage the overall revenue cycle performance and financial outcomes for multiple healthcare clients.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, analyze operational data, and implement strategies to optimize revenue, accounts receivable, and reimbursement outcomes.
  • Identify performance gaps and lead initiatives that improve operational efficiency, revenue recovery, and client satisfaction.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop Account Resolution staff to achieve productivity, quality, and performance goals.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide ongoing training, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Manage staffing activities, workload assignments, and team development initiatives.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee accounts receivable workflows, billing follow-up activities, denial management, and account resolution processes.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, monitor workflow effectiveness, and support automation and process improvement efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and applicable healthcare regulations.

Client & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as a key operational partner for assigned clients, responding to inquiries, escalations, and performance-related requests.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, vendors, and leadership teams to improve billing accuracy, workflow efficiency, and financial performance.
  • Support new client implementations and organizational initiatives designed to enhance service delivery and operational results.

Travel

Some travel is expected for this position based on business needs.

Required Education and Experience

1. High school diploma or GED diploma

2. 5 + years of health care revenue cycle management experience.

3. 3+ years of experience managing teams/labor.

4. Experience in Microsoft Office including Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a leadership position.
