Description:
Key Responsibilities and Functions
Property Services

  • Perform title searches as required and ensure all property title information obtained is referenced correctly and maintained in Council's property databases.
  • Maintain Council’s rating and valuation databases.
  • Submit manual M1 addressing updates to Vicmap Editing Service (VES) as required.
  • Assist Revenue Coordinator with processing of Notice of Acquisition within 5 business days as required
  • Address Management:
•-Prepare and send street addressing updates for Emergency Services, VEC and AEC
  • Process proposed street and road numbering of new subdivisions in SPEAR and liaise with developers where required
  • Update Council database once subdivisions have become registered, as advised through SPEAR
The position offers flexible hours and can be tailored to either full-time or part-time (0.8) arrangements.

Skills and Experiences:
Key Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated knowledge of local government revenue functions.
  • Ability to interpret and apply legislation, policies, and procedures
  • Experience in debtor management or debt collection processes.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and technology.
  • Proven excellence in client or customer support.
Essential qualifications and experience

  • Demonstrated experience in a rates, revenue or debt recovery fields.
  • Experience in interrupting and applying legislative requirements
  • Proven customer service experience.
Desirable qualifications and experience

  • Understanding and experience in the revenue, property & valuation operations of local government.
  • Understanding of and experience with relevant legislation and regulations, in particular the Local Government Act 1989.
  • Understanding of ACCC Debt Collection Guidelines.
  • Experience with Council Rating Systems, preferably Civica Authority.
Licenses and mandatory requirements

  • Drivers Licence
  • National Police Certificate
