HIAB Truck Driver / Crane Truck Operator

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: €31,000 – €55,000 per year (depending on experience)

About the Role

Rayco Crane Transport is seeking an experienced and reliable HIAB Truck Driver / Crane Truck Operator to join our growing team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe transport and unloading of containers, modular buildings, machinery, construction materials, and other heavy goods throughout Ireland using our crane-equipped truck fleet.

This is a hands-on role that requires excellent driving skills, a strong safety focus, and the ability to operate independently on customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain company crane trucks safely and professionally.
• Transport containers, modular units, machinery, steel, construction materials, and general heavy goods.
• Load, unload, and position deliveries using the truck-mounted crane.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Secure loads correctly in accordance with transport regulations.
• Maintain a high standard of customer service on site.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed safely and efficiently.
• Comply with all road transport, health and safety, and company procedures.
• Keep vehicle and equipment clean and presentable.

Requirements

• Full Category C or CE Driving Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• HIAB / Lorry Loader Certificate preferred.
• Safe Pass preferred.
• Previous experience operating a HIAB or crane truck.
• Good understanding of load securing and transport safety.
• Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.
• Ability to work independently and manage daily schedules.
