Job Title: Manager, Framework and Control Architecture
Location: Bengaluru - Manyata Tech Park

Business & Team:

Technology Chief Controls Office - We support Technology to deliver Safe, Sound and Secure outcomes for our customers and the community. CCO provides enablement support through risk management frameworks and tools, risk expertise and coaching, a greater preventative focus rather than detective, risk processes that are simple and easy to apply. Technology CCO, Framework and Control Architecture Team.

Impact & Contribution: Our team plays a central role in implementing and managing the TCCO Framework and Control Architecture. This includes but not limited to managing the Technology Risk Appetite Statement, Control Council and Library and Top of House Risk Profile.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Control Council /Library: Ensuring the timely and accurate execution of the Technology Control Council. Including collating and minutes and management of evidence.

  • Risk Appetite Statements (RAS): Implement and manage Group and Technology RAS.

  • Frameworks: Manage Group material (Drops) to ensure a streamlined processes with minimal disruption. Tracking of quarterly ‘drops’ from Group and associated TCCO activities

  • Maintaining ‘framework opportunities’ register, and actively pursuing High priority items (as agreed with TCCO LT) Maintaining engagement with Group Op Risk on ORMF framework changes/plans

  • Controls – supporting various stakeholders to review, develop, and implement controls that enable continuous improvement in risk and compliance outcomes.

  • Data Quality – maintaining quality risk data in various databases (including RiskInSite).

  • Change Management – ensuring risk and associated procedural changes are delivered effectively, minimizing disruption.

  • Risk Culture and Capability – ensuring the risk culture and capability is continually improved across our stakeholders.

  • Code of Conduct – adhering to and reinforcing the CBA code that sets the standards of behaviour, actions and decisions we expect from our people.


Essential Skills:

  • 8-12 years’ experience in banking/financial services or other relevant sectors, with a Technology risk background and understanding of controls architecture is highly desired

  • Strong technical skills and knowledge in operational risk management

  • The ability to have difficult conversations with stakeholders that through professionalism will preserve the long-term relationship

  • Ability to engage with a large and varied stakeholder group

  • Strong organisational, planning, time management and project management skills.

  • Intermediate/Advanced Skills in Microsoft Applications (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, word)

  • Problem solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement – ability to identify opportunities, remediate problems and issues and recommend appropriate actions dealing with the underlying root causes

  • Beneficial: Working knowledge of 'OpenPages/ Riskin Sight', 'SharePoint' and 'Confluence/Jira'


Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
