Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse to join the Med/Surg department. The Charge Nurse plays a pivotal role in overseeing patient care, ensuring the highest standards of nursing practice, and leading a team of nursing staff. This position requires strong clinical skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate nursing staff activities to ensure efficient patient care delivery.
• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and assessments of patients.
• Manage laboratory procedures and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide primary care and trauma medicine as needed, demonstrating expertise in critical situations.
• Oversee the administration of medications and treatments according to established protocols.
• Facilitate communication between healthcare providers, patients, and families regarding care plans.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans based on individual needs.
• Support behavioral health initiatives within the facility, promoting mental well-being among patients.
• Maintain accurate patient records.

Experience

• A valid nursing license.
• Prior experience in charge nurse or supervisory roles.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to best practices in nursing.

• Night shift 7P-7A
