About the Role

Our busy Endoscopy Suite consists of one treatment room with the recovery area situated in the Day Stay Unit at Nelson Hospital. You will be caring for patients before, during and after their endoscopy procedure.

You will be working rostered and rotating shifts Monday to Friday, with on call after hours and weekends.

About the Team

We are a small professional team led by a Clinical Nurse Coordinator and are focused on providing a caring and professional environment, delivering quality care and extended nursing practice.

About you

  • Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
  • Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
  • You will be a NZ Registered Nurse with a current NZNC practising certificate and post-registration nursing experience preferably in endoscopy and/or acute care. You will also be a team player, who enjoys keeping up to date with clinical practice, with excellent organisational and time management skills and a commitment to quality.
