Job Overview

This position is for a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care during the night shift. The role involves floating between various departments, including Medical Surgical, ICU, and Emergency Departments. The nurse will implement patient care plans, provide specialized nursing care, and contribute to staff education under the guidance of a Nurse Director. This position requires a current RN license and clinical experience in critical care settings to ensure high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct, day-to-day care to patients and families across assigned units.
• Practice within the scope of the nursing license and in accordance with all organizational policies.
• Implement patient care plans as part of a multidisciplinary Patient Care Team.
• Deliver specialized, population-specific care consistent with established standards and competencies.
• Promote and maintain quality patient care and assist in the teaching of nursing staff.

Requirements

• Graduation from a school of nursing and a current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a critical care, Emergency Department (ED), PACU, or similar setting.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
• Must be able to respond within 60 minutes if placed on call.

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), NIH Education, and Handle with Care certifications are required within 12 months of hire.
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) is preferred.
