Pierce Memorial, a highly-regarded skilled nursing facility in scenic Brooklyn, CT, is looking for a Registered Nurse OR Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team of compassionate caregivers.

Registered Nurse RN/Licensed Practical Nurse LPN:

• 32-40 hours/week
• 2nd shift 3p-11p
• LPN base rate $33.40/hour | $39.40/hour weekdays & $43.40/hour weekends
• RN base rate $45.46/hour | $51.46/hour on 2nd shift weekdays/weekends

Responsibilities of Registered Nurse RN/ Licensed Practical Nurse LPN include:

• Overseeing and providing assistance to certified nursing assistants
• Providing clinical assessments and maintaining regular contact with physicians in relation to residents of a skilled nursing facility
• Working with the resident, family, and doctor to determine the service plan that will best serve the needs of the resident.
• Updating the aides with regards to the new resident, and preparing a shift by shift list of care that the aides will perform.
• Ensuring that the staffing is adequate to serve the needs of the residents
• Communicating with the resident, family, and MD on an ongoing basis as needs and plans change
• Administering medications and treatments to residents on a daily basis

Requirements of a Registered Nurse RN/ Licensed Practical Nurse LPN Candidate:

• Current Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse license without restrictions
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience, preferably in nursing or home care
• CPR Certification (re-certification offered on site)
