We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and creative Robotics Instructor to join our team! This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves inspiring young minds and has a strong interest in robotics, engineering, and innovative teaching. The ideal candidate will work with students from Junior Kindergarten through Grade 8, delivering dynamic, hands-on lessons using a LEGO-based curriculum and developing original activities that ignite curiosity and foster STEAM skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, interactive robotics lessons based on our established LEGO curriculum.
  • Design and implement innovative lesson plans that promote creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
  • Guide students in building and programming robots using LEGO kits, Scratch, and other age-appropriate platforms.
  • Create a fun, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment that motivates students to explore STEM.
  • Foster teamwork and collaboration through STEM-based challenges and activities.
  • Monitored student progress and tailor instruction to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, STEM/STEAM, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching or working with children in JK to Grade 8 within a Canadian educational setting.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with a natural ability to engage and inspire young learners.
  • Positive, enthusiastic, and proactive with a self-starting attitude.
  • Demonstrated creativity and hands-on experience with mechanical or engineering-based projects.
  • Familiarity with programming platforms such as Scratch or Python is highly desirable.
  • Background in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with LEGO robotics, coding, or similar STEAM tools is a significant asset.

Work Schedule:

  • Summer (July–August): Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Fall & Beyond: Wednesdays and Fridays after 4:00 PM; Saturday (to be confirmed)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Flexible language requirement:

  • French not required

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (required)

Experience:

  • teaching robotics/scratch: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • OCT or Any Teaching Certificate (preferred)

Work Location: In person
