We are seeking an experienced Roofer Leading Hand to join our expanding team. This role is ideal for a skilled roofer with strong leadership ability and solid experience in slate and tile roofing systems. You’ll oversee day-to-day site operations, support junior crew members, and ensure projects are completed safely and to a high standard across the West and Midlands.

Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm

Start: 1-week trial followed by training

Pay: €18–€22 per hour depending on experience (higher for strong leadership experience) + yearly bonus

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate roofing teams of 3 or less people
  • Deliver high-quality workmanship and maintain strong site organisation
  • Install and repair slate and tile roofing systems
  • Ensure safe work practices and compliance with all site standards
  • Train, mentor, and supervise labourers and tradesman
  • Communicate with management regarding project progress and material needs
  • Measure, cut, and fit roofing materials correctly

Requirements

  • 10+ years roofing experience (slate & tile essential)
  • Previous experience in a leading hand, foreman, or senior roofer role
  • Confident managing small teams and directing day-to-day work
  • Safe Pass (in date)
  • Working at Heights & Manual Handling (preferred)
  • Full driving licence
  • Valid teleporter ticket (preferred)
  • Strong English communication
  • Ability to read plans and assess onsite requirements
  • High attention to detail and strong work ethic
