Roofing Laborer

Looking for roofing helper to start ASAP or Monday,12/9/2024. Initial jobsite on the 9th will be in Vail. No experience needed. Winter start hours are in effect, 6:30am.

Employee will be either meeting at job sites in town or starting in Vail to load the truck and then ride to work site. Work & train directly with an experienced licensed contractor! Owner operated roofing company is hiring an additional helper for small crew run directly by the contractor. Company specializes in residential roofing.

Construction experience is preferred but not required.

What's the job?

Helper will work part time to help crew deal with backlog of residential jobs. May turn into a full time position if it's a great fit, as we're only getting busier. Pay range is $21-$25/hr, depending on experience. Pay is weekly. Part time would be 3-5 days a week. Currently running summer hours with jobs starting on the roof around 6am. Shift is at job site until completion. Work day usually runs 4-8 hours. Guaranteed 4 hours for the day even if job gets done faster than that.

Jobsites tend to be on the east side and Rita Ranch/ Vail area, but we do service the entire city.

Job requirements:

• Ability to lift 60+ pounds & carry it up a ladder
• Punctual w/own transportation to job sites
• Working knowledge of basic tools & willingness to learn
• Ability to work at a fast pace in the heat
• Ability to work independently & maintain attention to detail
