Room Leader - Early Childhood Education

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for a fantastic Team Leader to join KiDZSPOT Dilga in Erskine Park. Dilga is a niche baby and toddler centre with a maximum of only 27 children. The Centre has two rooms with two room leaders; one for babies and one for toddlers. Each room has about 4 - 5 educators at any one time.

You will be responsible for the overall running of your designated room. Your main role is to ensure the educational program is implemented correctly. Your role as leader is to ensure that your team is happy and productive and can follow the Centre’s policies and procedures effectively.

This is a fantastic opportunity for Room Leaders looking for a change or an experienced Diploma qualified Educator who is ready to move up.

ABOUT KiDZSPOT

KiDZSPOT operates three (3) centres in Glendenning and Erskine Park. Our Centres have about 30 places each; we offer our staff and families a much more personalised experience. Everything we do is channelled to ensure we create confident, capable young people who are ready to take on the world. To achieve this, we need the right people.

Our staff work on rotating rosters that include morning and afternoon shifts. You must be able to do an open or close shift when required.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

Qualifications & Experience - the must haves include:

• A recognised Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education from an Australian institution
• Centre-based experience in Australia in a similar role OR at least two years experience working at Diploma level
• Current Working with Children Clearance check
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate

Interpersonal skills - the must haves

To be a strong Room Leader you must have energy and passion to work with kids all day, every day. You're the person we're looking for if you hold all the relevant qualifications above and you:

• work well under supervision
• have a proven record of being a reliable, punctual and professional worker
• have strong communication skills and can build relationships easily

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $65,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• Afternoon shift
• Day shift
• Morning shift
