Saas B2b Sales Development Representative

Job description

The SaaS B2B Sales Development Representative is responsible for co-developing and executing a personal annual sales plan, understanding and translating customer needs for our development team and collaborating on our software development, providing and/or facilitating customer support, and collaborating on developing customer/partner training, sales, and marketing materials. Prior experience with B2B SaaS sales is required; prior carbon market-related experience is preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities

None in the immediate term, though this position has the potential to grow into a sales management role over time.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Co-develop and execute annual sales plans.
  • Identify, pursue and engage potential Impact Inside customers, driving to close new subscribers to our SaaS platform.
  • Support Impact Inside clients effectively throughout their journey with us, helping to resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop product training materials and documentation, ensuring clients have the resources they need to succeed.
  • Through direct engagement and market research, help the team understand the unique needs and challenges of our market, prospects, and clients.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • At least 3 years prior B2B SaaS sales and/or account management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sales plans.
  • Demonstrated sales prowess and a knack for building lasting client relationships.
  • A collaborative spirit to engage with subject matter experts and create impactful training materials and documentation
  • Passion for environmental conservation, natural resource management, and/or climate solutions required.
  • Prior experience with nature-based (or other carbon offset project) industry is a plus, but not required.
  • Prior experience in managing customer- and prospect-marketing communications using CRM systems preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to function well in a dynamic, early-stage venture.

  • This position is best suited for a resident of the Twin Cities area, who would enjoy working in person with a small team 1-2 days per week, and remotely with a larger team distributed all over the world via Slack, Teams, etc. 3-4 days per week.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, master’s degree a plus
