Position Description

The ESB Group Safety function provides general and specialist occupational safety support to ESB Customer Solutions (CS), Enterprise Services (ES) and Central Business Units (BU's).
Given the cross-business unit nature of this position, the Safety Specialist will play a pivotal role in providing technical Health and Safety support. The position requires closely liaison with ES, CS and Central business unit staff and contractors.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide Health and Safety support on Integrated Facilities Management hard and soft services contracts
- Provide technical support on Risk Assessments to CS, ES and Central BU’s and ensure periodic reviews are completed, including Risk Assessment for specific events
- Manage SHE Training frameworks and associated providers ensuring accurate records are maintained and accessible. Support the SHE training tender process
- Manage ergonomic risk assessment process and monitor completion of associated equipment/furniture requests
- Carry out internal SMS Health and Safety audits in CS, ES and Central BU’s and other audits in support of CS, ES and Central BU safety teams
- Act as a Senior User for Synergi Life in ES and support the roll out of Synergi Life
- Manage allocated SHE Standards review, projects to completion and health and safety purchase requests for ES and Central BU’s
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
Third level qualification in Health and Safety or related discipline (minimum Level 7 or NFQ)
5+ years in-depth knowledge and experience of:
Health and Safety legislation / regulations
Health and Safety management systems, operation and maintenance
Excellent influencing, leadership, stakeholder management, interpersonal skills and ability to work unsupervised on own initiative
Desirable
Knowledge of ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001 Management System requirements
ISO 45001 Lead auditor training
Location
This position will be based in ESB, 27 Fitzwilliam, Dublin 2. Nationwide travel is a feature of this role.

The successful candidate may work flexibly within their jurisdiction with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration on at least one anchor day per week. All smart working arrangements are subject to manager approval and ongoing review, based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the individual.
Reporting To
This role will report to SHE Assurance Manager, ESB Group SHE Support.

Salary
€57,900 - €68,100 per annum (depending on experience)
