Carbon Designs is a fast-growing semi-custom furniture company and we're looking for a skilled and passionate Sales and Operations Planning Manager to be on our core leadership team and contribute to our mission of crafting high-quality, custom furniture pieces that stand out in the market.

Job Summary

The Sales and Operations Planning Director will oversee the development and execution of our sales and operations planning (S&OP) processes. This role will align sales, forecasts, production schedules, and inventory management to ensure operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and business growth. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a proven track record in S&OP within manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Lead S&OP Processes: Create and manage a robust S&OP framework to align demand planning, production, and inventory with business objectives.
  • Forecasting and Demand Planning: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to develop accurate sales forecasts and demand plans.
  • Production and Inventory Optimization: Work with manufacturing and supply chain to optimize production schedules, inventory levels, and resource allocation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sales, operations, procurement, and finance to ensure seamless communication and alignment across departments.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish KPIs and metrics to monitor S&OP performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to long-term business strategy by providing insights into market trends, capacity planning, and operational capabilities.
  • Team Leadership: Core Leadership team member who will integrate cross-functionally.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, demand variability, and production constraints
  • Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in sales and operations planning, supply chain management, or related roles.
  • At least 3-5 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in furniture or related industries.
